KU:L House (Dormitory for international students)

KU:L House is a modern, on-campus housing facility which opened in 2006.
Dedicated to foreign and domestic students studying at Konkuk, the dormitory is divided into three halls; Vision Hall, Frontier Hall, and Dream Hall. The residence halls provide a lot of opportunities for making friends and enjoying a comfortable and convenient environment. 


Rooms

  • Male and female students reside in separate facilities.
    (Dream Hall: female students / Vision Hall and Frontier Hall: male students)
  • Free Internet connection 1 free cable TV (54 channels) / air conditioning in each room
    ' Items that are not provided by the KU:L House: TV set, pillow, blanket, bed sheets and toilet paper
  • One shared refrigerator on each floor of double rooms

Meal Plan

  • Under the rules of the KU:L House, students must purchase meal plan.
  • Students may have meals at the cafeteria of the KU:L House, and no cooking is allowed in the dorm rooms.
    There are no shared kitchens inside the KU:L House.

    Breakfast 07:30~09:30  
    Lunch 12:00~13:30 weekends and holidays only
    Dinner 17:00~19:30  

How to Pay

Foreign exchange students are to pay rents, deposits and meal plan fees after they arrive at Konkuk - in Korean won (Deposits will be refunded after the students check out of the KU:L House and return to their home country. Deposits will be wired into their Korean bank accounts.).

Convenience store/bakery/hair salon/stationery shop/laundry/restaurants etc.

Curfew

Building doors open at: 05:00 am / Building doors close at: 01 :00 am

Others

  • Please note that if you check out of the KU:L House in the middle of your contract, you are not allowed to return for the next two semesters.
  • Counseling service for foreign students is provided in English and Chinese at the KU:L House Administration

Application

  • To apply for a room at the KU:L House, consult the incoming exchange student coordinator at the Office of International Programs.
  • Note that applications are made before the start of each semester. Foreign students must apply before each semester begins even if they are already residing there.
  • Applying for and checking into a room at the KU:L House in the middle of the semester is extremely difficult.
  • If your application is accepted after you submit application for a room at the KU:L House, this decision is irreversible. Keep in mind that it is extremely difficult to change the contract contents including the room plan and the meal plan you chose. The university and the KU:L House are separately and independently operated entities. The KU;L House has its own internal rules and regulations.
